Online – Using Zoom!
All tickets are $54 per household which gains your household entrance to all services. We do not offer reduced ticket prices for single services. You must purchase a full price ticket even if you only attend a single service.
We are unable to open the doors for community Yizkor, as this service is part of the Musaf Service on Yom Kippur.
About Our Services
Many ask if we are Reform or Conservative , but we are neither! We are Jewish Renewal. We hope you will find our services enlightening and inspirational. We ask that you come prepared to participate in our singing and reading. There’s plenty of both English and Hebrew text, and easy to learn songs. Our liturgy is a combination of the traditional High Holidays chanting mixed with delightful and joyous songs taken from music around the world including Broadway and Rock and Roll. Our Machzor, High Holidays Prayerbook, was created exclusively for our Congregation by our founder, Rabbi Nessa Bush Chamberlain, of blessed memory.
Online Services for 2020
The online service will be conducted on Zoom, a web-based conference service, in a private and secure internet portal, accessible on any smart phone, tablet, or computer. Our cherished Machzor (prayer book) will be displayed on your screen, one page at a time, enlarged for easy viewing, with live windows showing the Rabbi and Cantor. When it is time to sing or recite a prayer together, your microphone, on your device, will be un-muted, so that you will be able to hear your Gan Eden family joining with you in celebration. This will be LIVE ONLY, and it will not be recorded for future viewing.
We will be using a commercial-grade internet, along with professional microphones, so our faces, voices, and Machzor pages will be clear!
Ticket and Yiskor Donation Payment Details
Since 1994, your High Holiday ticket has enabled you to attend all services for a single ticket costing $54. While we know that you will have other online options, we hope that you will consider supporting Gan Eden in our efforts, so that we can remain viable and return next year in person! For those of you with multiple members in your household, you will only need to pay $54 per household. However, please consider paying $54 per person, shown below as optional Companion Tickets, again to keep us viable for next year.
We have also provided a way for you to make Yizkor memorial donations to our traditional charities. For each charitable cause you want to support, please buy as many $1 tickets to equal the amount of your donation. For example, if you wanted to contribute $36 for Breast Cancer Research and Support, you would buy a quantity of 36 – $1 tickets. You may contribute to multiple causes, just one, or none. This portion of the website will remain active, so you can come back here before or after Yiskor to make your donations.
IMPORTANT: We will keep NO PAYMENT DETAILS on file, and NO Gan Eden staff or volunteers will have access to your private information. Paying on this website using your Master Card or Visa (Debit or Credit) Cards, or your bank account, is just as secure as buying something online from a big store.
After you make your payment, you will automatically receive a confirmation email. Prior to the services, we will email you the private Zoom link.
NOTE: We now accept both credit card payments and ACH payments, using your checking or savings bank routing and account numbers.
Again, please DO NOT send any paper checks. You must pay online. Please scroll down to purchase tickets.
